Vintage 2008
A wet and frosty spring was the start to an interesting 2008 growing season. The summer was warm and dry, with a few heat spikes that stretched into the fall months. This allowed for extended hangtime finishing with a mid October harvest. Overall, the 2008 vintage gave us lower than normal yields with small clusters of flavorful berries.
Tasting Notes
The 2008 vintage has seductive aromas of black cherry and cassis. Plush ruby in color, this wine has intense flavors of blackberry and raspberry enriched by clove, cinnamon spice and vanilla tones from 15 months' aging in French and American oak barrels. Moderate tannins lead to a soft, silky, lingering finish, beckoning you back for more.
